Last week four of our six first year groups visited Bridge 21 which is part of Trinity College Dublin. This week the remaining two first year groups will visit Oriel House for the final two workshops.

 

What is Bridge 21?

The Bridge21 education programme is based in Trinity College Dublin which offers a new model of learning, which is being adapted for use in Irish secondary schools. In Bridge 21 the focus is on developing how students, fuel new innovation, opportunities, and helping all students fulfil their potential. Designed to support an innovative 21st Century learning environment within schools, B21 have developed a learning model for second level education that is:

  • Team-based
  • Technology mediated
  • Project based
  • Cross- curricular

Students will take part in all of the above during the workshops. This will involves working in teams, thinking critically, creating animations and presenting projects. To read more about Bridge21 visit www.bridge21.ie
