Last Wednesday, 32 students from Miss. Fitzpatrick’s and Ms. McGrotty’s 5th year LCVP classes visited Butler’s Chocolate Factory in Coolock. This visit was for their Action Plan in their portfolio where students will write a report on their visit linking it to their option subjects.
We learned that over 2 million chocolates are made weekly in the factory and that they have been preparing their Easter Eggs since October, nearly six months in advance.
Students got to taste the chocolate they witnessed being made and also got the opportunity to decorate a Chocolate Santa in the decorating room.
We would like to thank Butler’s Chocolate Factory in Coolock for letting Donabate Community College Students see the workings of a real chocolate factory!
