Yesterday was an auspicious day for DCC as two of our student ambassadors for Cycle Against Suicide (CAS) attended a ceremony at King’s Inns to collect our ambassador plaque for CAS.

Our school was awarded this plaque on foot of all the work completed last year to support wellbeing initiatives in our school community. Well done to John Troy and Moya Smith (5th year) who represented our school community so well. Many thanks to Ms. Peat and Ms. Gentles who accompanied the students yesterday.

We look forward to the expansion of our Cycle Against Suicide initiatives during this academic year under the umbrella of our wellbeing programme and we are delighted to have four staff members who will coordinate this- Ms. Peat, Ms. Gentles, Mr. O’Briain and Ms. Lowry.

This year’s theme is #PositiveVibesSavesLives. All TY students will attend the showcase in the 3Arena in January and we look forward to working on a project to reflect this year’s theme.

Remember we are a school community that cares about your wellbeing.
