Emphatic Opening Win for U19 Football

DCC’s U19 football team kicked off their season with a dominant win over Balbriggans Chlór na Mora. Ten goals helped to seal an important three points to lead the table early in the group stage.

Chlór na Mora started well, earning a corner early on from a quick attack. They did well to hold back the DCC attack of Sam Carroll, Alan Kelly and Jason Dignam early in the first half, but it was not enough as DCC went into half-time with a four goal lead.

With changes made at half time, Kieran Conroy, Ciaran Lyons and Will Deering entered the playing field. The second half kicked off well with some early goals from DCC. Captain Cormac Burke and fellow central defender Evan Brooks maintained a strong defensive line in the back, preventing any danger from the opposing attacks. With the entry of Shane McDermott, Jeffrey Iobosa and Gabriel Akinwande, DCC pushed on to win the game 10-0.

We would like to congratulate the team, Mr Clarke and Mark Madden on their victory and wish them luck in their future matches.
