Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is difficult to believe that we have completed yet another term. Our sixth year students have been through an intense couple of weeks and deserve to allow their brain to recharge before the final surge toward June. Our third year students have completed practicals and are in the final stages of various practical projects which are components of their final exam grades.

We have been delighted to welcome a number of visitors into the school, including our friends from the primary schools for both an Induction to Technologies and Teaching and Learning in the 21st century, the Bridge 21 Project.

Garda Terri Ferguson, Garda Tom Doherty and Garda Cathal, met with second and third years and discussed various topics such as antisocial behaviour, underage drinking, knife crime, garda powers, but above all demonstrated the human person inside the blue uniform.

Two Senior Management teams toured our school to ask advice on school building design and the use of space. They commented that our staff were very generous with their time and advice as they walked around the school in addition to the fact that our students were very well turned out.

The times we live in are complicated times for our young people, but you just have to encounter our students on corridors smiling, sharing a joke or falling into conversation with you to appreciate how wonderful your children are and that we are proud to say they wear our uniform.

As always, thank you for your support of our staff and the work they do, on all of our behalf I wish you a good break.
