Ladies Get the Perfect Start!

On Thursday the 21st of September, our ladies GAA team, coached by Mr. Weafer, played their first game this year at home in Ballymastone against Killinarden Community School.

The girls started strong and got ahead within the first half of the match. They showed off their skills and stamina throughout the game. Kate Hanratty had some great saves in goal, blocking two points within a few seconds of each other. The Killinarden girls fought hard and had great teamwork skills, but in the end Donabate Community College were the stronger team . The end score was 3:14 to 0:7. There were two women of the match Gillian Weston and Rebecca Kiernan. Well done to all the players and good luck in upcoming matches!
