On Friday afternoon Donabate’s senior ladies hockey team took to the pitch against Mt. Anville in the Leinster Quarter Final. The teams were evenly matched and both had opportunities to score however it was 0-0 at the end of full time and the game went to penalty strokes. Unfortunately, Donabate lost out 4-1 in flicks. The girls are disappointed to miss out on a spot in the semi-final but as usual they are a credit to our school and were very gracious in defeat.
We are very proud of their efforts this year in what was a strong league.

Lady of the match goes to Isobel O’Dea and Erin McGahan. Isobel had a solid performance in defence despite being under a lot of pressure at times. Meanwhile, Erin pulled off some fantastic saves in the first half to keep us in the game and has had a wonderful season in goal.

Congratulations on your achievements this year ladies and well done to Ms. Orohoe for all her hard work with this team.
