‘Lift off to the International Space Station’

‘Lift off to the International Space Station’
A lecture by NASA Astronaut Shane Kimbrough

2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th year students ventured to The Helix, DCU today to attend a talk by NASA Astronaut Shane Kimbrough about his time on the International Space Station.

Shane spoke about getting to the ISS, his time on the ISS and getting back to earth. It was amazing to get first hand information from one of the 536 astronauts who have travelled to space.

A huge thank you to Vikki Doyle who invited Miss Peat’s science class to this once in a lifetime talk. More photos available here.
