Congratulations to Claire Creedon, a first year student from Donabate Community College. Claire was awarded the title of‘Mathematician of the Month’ this January by both Engineers Irelandand the Project Maths Team, who are co-ordinating the new Mathematics syllabus in Ireland. This is a fantastic achievement forClaire whose solution to a mathematics problem was selected in what was a National Competition. Claire was presented with her certificate of Mathematician of January and a €100 gift voucher by Principal Olive Laffoy and Claire’s maths teacher Mr. Maddock at a first year assembly this month.
