Congratulations to Donabate CC Senior Rugby Team who progressed through to the final after finishing top of their group in a blitz of games against Malahide CS and Hartstown CS in Malahide Rugby Club.
First up for DCC was Malahide and this was a close and thrilling encounter. DCC were victorious emerging 12-7 winners. Cian Redmond and Sean Maher made their debut in this exciting game and were very impressive.
Shortly after, DCC played their second opponents, Hartstown, in a vital game for their progression in the competition. Captain, Gabriel Akinwande and Conor Kennedy both crossed the try-line for DCC. Debutant Cian Redmond scored a hat trick ensuring DCC a spot in the final of the North Dublin Cup in Morton Stadium before the end of the month. Well done to Conor Kennedy who excelled at his conversion kicks and Cian Jinks who was terrific in defence.
