The teaching unions TUI and ASTI have informed the ETB that all TUI and ASTI union members have been directed to take strike action on Thursday 22 January 2015. Pickets will be placed on all schools, colleges and education centres where TUI or ASTI members are employed on that day.
In the case of the strike going ahead on 22nd January, the ETB will not be in a position to discharge its responsibilities with regard to the care of students in its charge.
The ETB is therefore requesting you to keep your son(s) and/or daughter(s) at home from school on Thursday 22 January 2015 .
