Over the past two weeks, our Transition Years have been taking part in the Wassa Wassa workshop with Godfrey, Dave and Niall. The classes were split into two groups and took turns playing the drums and taking part in African dancing. During the drums session, the students got the chance to play with the African drums, known as djembes. During the dance session, the students learned an African dance routine with Godfrey. The Transition Years then performed their drum and dance routine in front of the first years. The performance allowed the students to work together as a team and become closer with one another. The days were immensely enjoyed by all who took part in them and it was a memorable experience.
