4th March 2015

Thursday, 5th of March, will be another great day for Donabate Community College as we will be welcoming 19 French students and 2 teachers accompanying them from the town of Nantes for a week visit.
Co-ordinated by Mr. Smith, this will be the third time students from France will be visiting our school. Students from Donabate have visited schools in France once before in Spring 2014 and hopefully next October more students will be going. There is a well-planned week for the students from St. Joseph du Loquidy School who will be staying with the families of third year students. On Friday, all 3rd year students along with the French students will be going to Newgrange and then bowling. They will spend the weekend with their host families all getting to know each other and on Monday there is a trip to town planned for them. On Tuesday they will be in the school and get to experience what a day in a school in Ireland is like. Wednesday they will be going to Belfast and on Thursday morning there will be a French breakfast for them before they fly home later on in the day.
We at Donabate Community College hope it will be an enjoyable experience for all involved and thank Mr. Smith for all his hard-work in organising this visit.
