Huge congratulations to Rhianna Binns from Rang Faraday in Second Year in Donabate Community College. Rhianna took first place in the Comdháil World Irish Dancing Championships held in the beautiful surroundings of Citywest Hotel in West Dublin. Rhianna annexed the u14 title in Easter Week and brought her trophy into school today, Monday. This is Rhianna’s second World Title, having previously won the u11 title in 2011. Donabate Community College were also lucky to have seven other students participate in the annual competition, first years – Jennifer Cooney, Brianna O’Connell and Niamh Jackson, third years – Melissa Delaney and Lia Kenny (who came eleventh in the u16 competition), transition year student Hayleigh Murphy and fifth year student Shannon Kenny. Congratulations to all who participated and to Rhianna on her incredible achievement.
