Our first year girls held their first challenge game on the Astro on Tuesday morning, our first team (bibs) were coached by our TY students Ella Higgins and Anna Russell and our second team (non bibs) were coached by Georgia Hall and Erin Finn had a good first game. The outcome was that the non bibs team won by 1 goal (3-2).
In the first half the bibs team were in the lead by one goal (2-1) with Muireann Martin scoring the first goal. In the second half our non bibs team really showed their potential with great teamwork and communication skills which lead to Neasa McCormack and Faye McConnell scoring the winning goals for their team.
Well done to the team for their first game, with their first official match coming up after the midterm, we look forward to supporting the team’s future games. A big thanks to Ms C Fennell and Ms N Fennell for organising and running this event.
