Anti-Bullying week took place in DCC between Monday 11th – Friday 15th of November. Ms Finn, Ms Curtis and the members of The Headstrong Committee organised the anti-bullying week for our school. The week was full of activities such as games for first years, messages of kindness and a ‘Be Creative’ competition.
To begin the week, messages of kindness were given to students and staff arriving on Monday morning. On Wednesday, Saoirse Lundberg, Isabelle Duke and Edith Cobbe O’Neill entertained the seniors students with a lunchtime concert. During break time on Thursday, the first years were treated to games and music in the main hall. On Friday morning, sweets were handed out to all the students.
We talked to a first year student who really enjoyed the activities. Her favourite part of the week was playing the board games and, in particular four in a row, on Thursday. Well done to Conn, Juliette, Alex and Alex who were the winners of our ‘Be Creative’ competition.
This week was organised to raise awareness about bullying, to help prevent bullying and to bring the students together. Well done to everyone for getting involved!
