On the 13th of November, we witnessed a spectacular athletics competition in St. Annes with over 20 schools competing to race to the finish line. 1st Years would do a lengthy 1km, while the 2nd and 3rd Years performed an even lengthier 1.5km. It was exhilarating to see everybody try their best, and it kept us on our very toes.
For the First Year Girls, Kate Redmond from our school came 6th. In the First Year Boys, a runner from St. Fintans finished first. In the Second Year Girls, one sprinter from Holy Faith Clontarf caught up to the finish line before anybody else.
In the Second Year Boys, a proud runner from STMC managed to win. In the Third Year Girls, we couldn’t catch anybody due to how fast they went by our eyes and cameras. And finally, in the Third Year Boys, yet again STMC claims the final victory.
Congratulations to the winners and all the other athletes who took up their school’s name and participated in this race!
