Board of Management Agreed Report – 25th November 2025
- Congratulations to last year’s 3rd year students on their Junior Cycle results
- The board wish the best of luck to all the students sitting Winter assessments.
- The board are delighted with the news that our DAA Elevate Application for our Community garden project has been successful. We’ve been awarded €50,000 for the project.
- The board share more good news – Glenveagh have kindly offered to do all the groundwork and paving for the Community garden.
- A huge thank you from the board to the parents council for their work for the first year parents’ breakfast morning.
- The board extend their gratitude to the teachers involved in extra-curricular. There are so many events at the moment as is apparent on our social media feed.
- The following policies were re-ratified by the board: The Critical Incident Response Plan, The Acceptable Use Policy, The Safety Statement, The Supervision Policy.
- The board thank all the teachers involved in the Winter Concert, in particular Ms Finn, Ms Curtis and Mr Nagle, and wish all the performers the best of luck.
- The board congratulate all the newly elected member of DCC Student Council.
Board of Management Agreed Report – 30th September 2025
- The board want to say a big thank you to all the teachers and students involved in the Open Evening. The school looked great and the displays and interactive pieces were very engaging for the huge turnout from the local community.
- The board are delighted to share the good news that solar panels are fully installed and that there is now a display set up in the assembly area showing the daily yields.
- The following policies were ratified: The Data Protection Policy, The RSE Policy, The Admissions Policy
- The following documents were presented to the board: The School Self Evaluation documents (School Improvement Plan and the Self Evaluation Report) and Know Your School
- The board congratulate all the students who were elected to the Student Council for the 2025-26 academic year.
- The board acknowledge all involved in extra-curricular. Clubs and sports are well underway and there is great participation.
- The DLP and DDLP (Mr Doyle and Ms Flynn) attended a Child Protection course. Mr Doyle informed the board that there are new procedures to be adopted by 31st Dec 2025.
Board of Management Agreed Report – 26th August 2025
- The board extend their congratulations to all the Donabate students who recently received their Leaving Cert results. They wish them the very best for the future.
- A huge thank you to the Parents’ Council for the very successful pre-owned uniform sale in June.
- A warm welcome to the new first year students, we wish them many happy years in DCC.
- Congratulations to Ms Clery on her recent appointment as First Year Year Head.
- The Board wish to share the good news that DCC has now completed the installation of solar panels. This ties in nicely with the introduction of a new Senior subject this year – Climate Action and Sustainability. This class will monitor the amount of energy produced and fed back to the grid. There will be a display in the main assembly area.
- The board wish Michael Clarke well in his new school and thank him for his contribution to DCC.
- Finally, the board would like to wish all the students and staff at DCC the very best of luck for the year ahead.
Board of Management Agreed Report – 27th May
- The board extend their best wishes to 3rd year and 6th year students at DCC who will be sitting their state examinations next week.
- A huge thank you from the board to the parents council for their hard work and dedication this year and particularly for their contributions to the graduations and for organising the uniform sale.
- The board acknowledge the great work of the staff of DCC and the teachers who gave of their time to enable all our extra-curricular success this year.
- Thank you to Emma Ryan for the wonderful balloons at the graduation.
- A special word of thanks also goes to Mary Lowry and Aisling Clery for working with the TY journalism class to produce DCC’s first ever whole-school student broadcast.
- The board also extend their gratitude to Aisling Clery for her amazing work on Social Media and ensuring that every event and celebration is documented and shared.
- The Board extends its sincere condolences to Marian Flynn on the passing of her father this week.
- The board wish all members of the DCC community a wonderful Summer break.
- Principal, John Doyle thanked the board members for their hard work, dedication throughout the year, and continued commitment to the school.
Board of Management Agreed Report – 30th April
- The Board extends its sincere thanks to the parent council for their hard work in organising the raffle and for raising money for the school.
- The Board also would like to thank the teachers who accompanied students on the recent trips to Cologne and Delphi.
- Congratulations to all the students and teachers involved in our recent sporting achievements across GAA, tennis, mountain bike racing, athletics, soccer, rugby, and volleyball — your efforts and successes are greatly appreciated.
- The Board commends the students who participated in the oral state examinations over the Easter break, and wish the very best of luck to all 3rd and 6th Year students currently undertaking their practical state examinations.
- The following policies were reviewed and ratified: External Coaches and Speakers Policy, Sports Code of Conduct Policy, Attendance Policy, Intimate Care Policy, TY Admission Policy.
Board of Management Agreed Report – Tues 25th March
- The board would like to extend their thanks to the Parent Council for their hard work in organising the Table Quiz in Beaverstown Golf Club on Thursday 27th March 2025.
- The board pass on their gratitude to the teachers for their involvement in the many recent extra-curricular successes.
- The board would like to congratulate the 1st year boys Gaelic footballers for reaching the Shield final.
- The board extends its heartfelt condolences to the staff and students of DCC on the recent passing of Kerrie Whelan, a former teacher and cherished member of our community.
- The following policies were reviewed and ratified: Wellbeing, Healthy Eating, TY Work Experience, Administration of Medication and First Aid.
- The board acknowledge the progress being made in Provision Mapping. Staff have been briefed and surveyed and the next stage in the process is collecting input from parents and students.
- The board were informed of their responsibilities in relation to the new Bí Cinealta guidelines which require reform in policy and practice in schools regarding anti-bullying.
