Congratulations to Alison Branigan competed in the National Athletic Finals over the summer, held in Tullamore, County Offaly where they are held annually.
Alison is a member of the Lambay Sports and Athletics club, Donabate-Portrane. Alison’s event was the 400m where she won double Bronze at the Dublin meet and qualified for the National Finals.
This success required a huge commitment to training and Alison told us that she trained four days a week for the National Finals. However, her hard work paid off! Getting to the National Finals is a huge achievement!
Alison said she felt proud of herself after the race and felt very tired. She still trains four days of week for her upcoming races that are pencilled in for after her Leaving Certificate next summer.
Well done Alison for your achievements during the summer and best of luck for the future!
