Huge congratulations to 5th Year student Suzie Linkiewicz who was a member of the Dublin LGFA U16 squad that annexed the Leinster and All Ireland titles earlier this year.
Today, we were delighted to welcome back DCC alumni Orla Keeling along with the cups to celebrate this tremendous achievement. Orla was a mentor with the team as they battled all the way to All Ireland glory, defeating Cork by 4-12 to 3-09 in a dramatic final.
DCC’s Senior ladies team and Mr Weafer congratulated Suzie and Orla on their achievement and some of our First Year students even got their hands on the Cups!
The Senior ladies team, captained by 6th Year student Ellen Kirwan will get their Championship underway tomorrow as they take on Malahide CS away at 1pm. We wish them every success!
We are so delighted to have an All Ireland winner in our midst in DCC and we are very grateful to Orla for taking the time out to come and visit us!
