Last Friday the DCC U17 men’s team traveled to St.Olivers in Drogheda in hopes of a win.
It was a very close game with DCC having numerous chances. They played very well in tough conditions.
DCC dominated majority of the first half of the game and had multiple chances. At the end of the first half DCC went 1-0 up through a brilliant goal from Tom McMahon.
At the start of the second half, Drogheda came back into the game and had numerous chances. One of these led to a goal for Drogheda to equalise and the game went 1-1.
After Drogheda’s goal DCC continued to fight for another goal but unfortunately it wasn’t their day and the game ended a 1-1 draw.
Well done to Mr.O’Meara and Mr.Hopkins for all the work they had done with the team to prepare for the match.
