Comhairle na nÓg are youth councils in the 31 local authorities of the country, which give children and young people the opportunity to be involved in the development of local and national services and policies.
The annual Youth Conference collects the views from young people all around Fingal on issues that affect them. The young people engaged in world café activities, discussed issues and solutions and were active participants throughout the day.
The Comhairle can then work on projects surrounding what is voted as the most prominent problem for young people. This year ‘Lack of accessible youth spaces and services’ was identified. It was a terrific start for our new Student Council this year.
