Donabate CC – 3
Kishoge CC – 1
Before the Easter break our first year boys soccer team took on Kishoge Community College in the Leinster quarter final.
DCC started the game very strongly, trying hard to nick an early goal. About ten minutes in Destiny was awarded a penalty and decided to take it himself. He hammered it straight down the middle into the back of the net!
For the next ten minutes, DCC were relentless in their pressing and eventually this was rewarded after an amazing run from Noah Bukovec, he passed it to Val who tucked it away.
Not very long after Kishoge pull a goal back to put the game back in the melting pot. DCC responded well to this with some more hard work coming from the lads. 10 minutes before half time Val grabbed another. This brought us to half time with the score being 3-1.
The second half got underway with both teams pushing for a goal but both teams were defending very well with the DCC goalkeeper Ronan pulling off great saves to keep DCC up by 2 goals.
DCC held on to their lead with the defence putting in an excellent second half shift. The game ended 3-1 with an excellent performance from the lads. Thanks to Mr Hopkins and Mr Ward and we wish the lads all the best of luck in the semi-final!
