Weekly Sports Report
It was a quieter week than usual on the sporting front, with a smaller number of fixtures taking place, though tennis featured heavily throughout.
The week began with a series of tennis matches on Monday, where, despite some competitive performances, the team unfortunately came out on the losing side. However, there was a strong response later in the week. On Thursday, the team recorded an impressive victory over St Kilian’s German School.
There were excellent individual performances across both singles and doubles. Sam Burke, Charlie Farrell and Alex Mitchell all secured wins in their singles matches, while the doubles pairing of Ryan Darcy and Sam Evans also came out on top. There were further positive contributions from Paul de Búrca and Dan Shalapay, reflecting a strong overall team performance.
On Tuesday, our rugby team were in action in a friendly against Swords Community College. While the result did not go in our favour, with the opposition winning by 30 points, there were still encouraging performances from Seanán and Leon.
Friday’s tennis results will be included once confirmed.
