On Thursday the 12TH of November, DCC senior girls football team headed out to Ballymastone where they came head-to-head with Our Lady’s Greenhills. Unfortunately for the girls they took a loss with a full-time score of 2-7.
In the first half no goals were conceded by DCC but three were scored by Our Ladies Greenhills, this didn’t discourage the girls with some incredible defending from Kara Clifford. The girls kept pushing and kept the ball up the field.
However, in the 27th and 28th minute they bounced back with 2 goals scored by Lucy Davison and Andrea Connolly, keeping Our Lady Greenhills on their toes and kept DCC in the game. Unfortunately, our Lady’s Greenhills snapped back with 4 more goals resulting in a 2-7 loss. Although the game didn’t go their way, the girls will have more opportunities to succeed in the league!
Thank you to Ms Fennell for helping and taking care of the girls!
