Our TY students recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Germany, 🇩🇪 filled with culture, fun, and exciting new experiences. The journey began with a flight into Düsseldorf, Germany. From there, the group travelled by bus to Cologne, where they kicked off the first day with a visit to the iconic BayArena. Afterward, students had free time to explore the city before enjoying a relaxing cruise along the beautiful River Rhine. That evening, the group checked into the Meininger Hotel, which served as their home base for the trip.

On the second day, the adventure continued with a bus trip to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 . Students had a blast on a toboggan run, followed by some free time to explore a local town. Later, they visited a historic coal mine, gaining valuable insight into the region’s industrial heritage.

Day three was all about thrills and excitement as the group headed to Phantasialand, a popular theme park in Brühl. After a day packed with rides and entertainment, they returned to the hotel to rest and recharge.

The final day began with a visit to the Sports and Olympic Museum, where students participated in interactive activities such as testing their balance, measuring their vertical leap, and comparing their long jumps to those of famous athletes. Afterwards, they explored the world-famous Lindt Chocolate Museum, where they learned about the history of chocolate and had the opportunity to purchase a variety of delicious treats. Students enjoyed some additional free time before ending the day with a visit to the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. From there, the group traveled to Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 Airport to catch their flight home.

Overall, it was an incredible journey filled with lasting memories, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the places they visited. Everyone had a wonderful time and returned home with stories they’ll remember for years to come.

Special thanks to Mr Weafer for organising the trip. We also give our many thanks to all the teachers who accompanied us, it wouldn’t have been possible without them and their constant support.
