Well done to TY student Matthew Horne O’Connor who submitted an idea for the Young Social Innovator Open Call for Submissions.
Matthew has been working on the proposal through his Community Awareness and Social Education modules in Transition Year.
Their brief was “We’re looking for young people’s ideas about how to tackle the problems in our communities as a result of coronavirus. No idea is too big or too small.”
Matthew’s idea is one of three that is currently featured on the Young Social Innovators home page. It looks at the idea that a lot of activities online are geared towards smaller children, and he would like to develop a resource hub for teenagers so that they could feel that their time at home is put to good use.
