Congratulations to the Donabate Community College Junior Certificate Class of 2017 who received their eagerly awaited results this morning.

Smiles, tears of joy and good wishes gradually filled the air as the envelopes were opened. Two students, Sarah Oliver and Rachel Smyth, received top grades with nine grade As across their subjects as well as a ‘Distinction’ in the new Junior Cycle English curriculum, the highest grade on offer (in excess of 90%) which reached the end of its first cycle with this cohort of students. We were also delighted with the large number of students who achieved Grade As in a variety of subjects across the curriculum. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, their teachers and their families. This illustrates the high Academic ethos which we strive to uphold in Donabate Community College.

School Principal Mr. Creevey congratulated each student individually before presenting them with their envelopes. Students then celebrated alongside family and friends in a packed hall of cheers and chatter with staff present to congratulate and compliment the students on their hard work and determination to succeed.

Congratulations to all who received their results today. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and successes and we look forward to working with you as you progress further into Senior Cycle.
