The match started off with DCC battling a tough defence from Coláiste Pobal Fóla. Niamh Zaidan from DCC swiftly fought through and scored DCC’s first goal of the game. This goal only increased the team’s determination and there were amazing saves against brilliant players by Goalkeeper Jay Coates, and fantastic defensive tackles made by Katie Fogarty and Lucy Caswell.

Coláiste Pobal Fóla eventually found a gap through DCC’s brilliant defence and secured a goal. DCC only made their defence stronger and ensured Colaiste Pobal Fola didn’t increase their score. When the half-time whistle sounded, it was all square at one all.

DCC settled straight back into the game and rapidly worked their way up the pitch into shooting range. They made numerous attempts to score but were defeated by the opposition’s defence. Coláiste Pobal Fóla regained possession and made an attempt to score, DCCs fantastic goalkeeper saved the first shot before it returned into the box.
