Congratulations to 6th Year student, Luke Michael, who earned a Bronze Medal in the Dublin athletic championships over the summer.
Luke also competed in the Athletics National Final over the Summer. The National Finals were held in Tullamore, County Offaly where they are held annually.
Luke is a member of the Lambay Sports and Athletics club based in Donabate and Portrane. Luke was competing for the All Ireland U19 National Final for the 100m sprint. Athletics require a lot of training and dedication, athletes spend a lot of time training and working hard for races. Getting to the National Finals is a great achievement.
Luke came 3rd in the Dublin’s which is a great achievement and shows off how hard he has worked. Luke was up against a lot of competitors so coming third is a brilliant achievement and we are very proud of him.
