Normally we avoid posting at the weekend, however this afternoon we make an exception as we would like to congratulate Ms Lowry and her Third Year students who presented at the first ever Junior Cycle English SOAR Symposium today in All Hallows’ College.
Students spoke honestly and passionately about their journey through Junior Cycle and how their self-esteem and self-confidence has been enhanced as well as their skills and knowledge in English.
Ms Lowry spoke about how in DCC we empower our students’ voices and give them opportunities to become themselves.
Well done to Amy Nugent, Amy O’Flaherty, Adam Roche, Aaron Dignam, Rosa Doherty, Rebecca Whelan, Carla Crosbie, Oisín McGillicuddy and Matthew Horne O’Connor who have represented their school with pride this afternoon.
We also congratulate Ms Lowry on her continued success and hard work with JCT English!
